Hey Im Back !!!!!!

Sorry for no updates as ive been really busy ive got loads to tell you !!!!
On the racing side since Kampen there hasnt been many races to do which was good as i had a bad throat and chest.
I have done a Winter race at Derby my local club and thats pretty much it really not much training either as the weather has been really bad for ages.
My Mom takes me training every Saturday with Kelvin Batey which is fun but its hard work he even gives me homework aaaaarrrggghh!!!
Sponsor news and i cant believe it i have been offered a ride on one of the top teams in Europe Meybo Bmx its awesome as i will be part of a team of six with European Champs and World Champs on the team its going to be great .
I have got loads to tell you about that as we were invited over to the teams end of year party inHolland i will post pics and give you the full story later .
Last weekend was the big indoor race in France st Ettienne there was over 130 riders in my class 9/10 boys yes thats what i said OVER 130 RIDERS i will post pics and give you a full report soon .

Kampen TC round Holland 27th Sept 09
The final round of the TCs in holland this should be a good race.
My friends Cam and Owen Poulter are coming with us for this one also coach Smith is racing.
We set off at 0300 on sat as Lauren wants to get there for elite time trial.
On the ferry i start to feel bad and am not looking forward to this weekend but its great my mates have come with us.
By the time we get to the track Lauren has missed her time trial so we could of have had a few more hours in bed .
Again the tracks in holland are really good and this one looks good also.
We set the tents up track side and just have fun practicing and playing.
Sunday race day i wake up and feel really bad with headache and coughing i tell my dad i dont want to race he says ok and takes me for a shower to try and make me feel better.
While i have a shower and have some cereal and my morning cup of tea i should be practicing but i just sit and watch.
After a bit i start to feel a bit better and tell my my dad i want to try and race,so my dad rushes and gets me changed and puts me just in time in the pens .
Any way im on it and win all my motos and my semi.
Sadly my mates the poulters didnt make the semis but it was their first time in holland im sure they will make it next time.
The final i have first pick and choose gate 2 i didnt really get the gate as i havnt done much gate work and i was full of calpol .
I power back and get the holeshot and hit the first turn and hit the turbos and im out of there and take the win in good style .
I was really pleased as i felt terrible and couldnt really breath .
Lauren raced well up in elite women and was unlucky not to make the main well done coach smith!!!!
Traffic traffic as we set off late from the track we didnt get home till 5am monday morning just in time for him to go work.

I have got some time off school now as the doctor has give me some medicin to make me better.

Schijndel TC round in Holland 6th Sept 09

After a month off with no training at all just messing about playing (thanks dad)
This was my first race back we set off sat morning early and got to the track just after lunch it didnt seem that far this time.
Practice is on sat nights over there and the track was really long but with lots of jumps that little kids can jump so i really had fun practising.
After practise we went for a pizza with my dads friend Rene and his two daughters.
Sunday race day and there was nearly 40 riders entered in my class i started off a bit shaky with a 2nd in my first moto to their new dutch champ who was pretty fast.
I won the other two motos and beat him again to win my semi.
Final time i lead all the way till the last but one turn and came unclipped as i was getting tired and hit a jump wrong and couldnt pedal at all till i got my foot back in .
AAAARRGGH he passed me up to the last turn and took the win i was gutted having lead all the way but i was happy as i hadnt even trained and it was supposed to be a fun race.

The worlds Race

In my age there was over 60 riders it was stacked ,we didnt see the track till tues morning for practise WOW what a start hill and first jump it was massive!!!
Tuesday and Wednesday practise sessions were hard as i just didnt like the hill and that big double so i wasnt going fast up to it.
My dad said i had to jump it i said get lost its 8 mtr wide it was huge!!
Thursday race day
In my motos i had the french Euro champ who won in Denmark the weekend before so i knew he would be fast but every race i beat him to the bottom of the hill but he jumped the double and i backed off so i got 2nds behind him so not too bad .
Quarter time my dad said just top 4 is all you need i got a good gate and got 3rd so thru to the semis .
Lane 7 for my semi this was going to be tough i had some fast riders in this ,i got a decent gate was in 3rd 4th at first turn but went too high and came out LAST on to the second straight second berm i got into 6th and hit the third straight full speed and pumped so fast got back to 4th then i went high in last turn and went back to 6th down the last straight i just hit the turbos and got 4th by a wheel at the line I WAS IN THE MAIN i couldnt believe it nor could my dad it was great!!!!
Final time i had gate 4 which was a good gate but i didnt get the snap and had a photo finish for 5th or 6th after what seemed like the longest 15 mins ever they said i got 6th just by an inch it was that close
W6 for me so i was still pleased out of over 6o riders i came 6th on a track i couldnt really go that fast down the first straight .

THE WORLDS IN AUSTRALIA

We arrived a week early for this race as i needed to get used to my clips again after a days sleep we bumped into the Drysdales from Zimbabwe ,Luka 9 and jack 11 we went practising all day on thurs at a local track it was great loads of rythym on the last straight.
Then on the evening all went out for dinner .
Friday we all met up and went to another track all day and came back and went swimming in there pool abd jacuzzi!!!!
Saturday was the first race day at cross keys it wasnt a big race but there was about 15 riders in my age so not too bad .
I raced ok winning my motos except one where i came 2nd so not too bad the motos were a good race between me the Aus No1 Tyson Cobby on his home track and my new friend from New Zealand Mark Hartland Croft so it was good my dad said i had done enough and didnt want me to race the final just in case of accidents so i watched and Tyson won it from Mark and a lad from Chile in 3rd .
Sunday was another race at a track called the Cove i really like this track its fast and fun.
Again i won all my motos easily and the final was going to be between me and the argentina rider who later went on to win the W1 at the worlds (he also won in Canada 07).
Anyway we were told there was going to be a break in racing so we went to get something to eat a massive hot dog came back and i had missed my final lol!!!never mind i felt good and fast .

Denmark Racing Day

The track wasnt that good it was really bumpy and there was aset of doubles on the first straight which you had to jump and i couldnt !!!
The motos went well i had a 3rd (slipped pedals over the horrible doubles) then a 2nd and then i won the third moto .
In my age there was about 55 of us so we had 6 man quarters with top four to the semi i holeshotted my quarter only to go over the bars and take a big fall on those double i couldnt jump AAARRRGH i was out i was gutted as i really wanted to make the main .
My dad said dont worry everyone falls off sometime at least he said i was fast enough which made me feel better .
A big well done to my friend Tino who finished 5th in the final which was good as he slipped his pedal coming out the gate and was last to the first turn Tino Popma E5 well done .

We flew over for the race on wednesday which was great as we staying on a great campsite with loads to do swimming slides ,parks ,TOYS !!! (thanks lauren ),as the race wasnt till saturday loads of play time for me !!!!

Euro Round Dessel Report

We left on friday morning about 0530 to get to the tunnel on time the traffic was really good my dad said it was the best journey he had done in europe .
We got to the track in plenty of time for practise i normally only get 2 laps on race day !!!
I really liked the track it was fast and smooth i did loads of laps and then went to bed in our tent .
There was about 6o riders in my age 9/10 boys so we had quarters,
I won all my motos got a 2nd in my quarter and in the semi i was 3rd to the last turn but i made a mistake going for 2nd and the other riders caught me up and we all banged into each other and i fell off GUTTED i was only a few metres from making the final .
I went to my dad i was upsett but he said dont worry you are fast enough you can do it tomorow.
It was really hot so me and my mate sam had water fights on the camp site while my dad watched the elite racing.
Sundays Race
I had the big Latvian kid in my motos hes huge nearly as big as my dad LOL i had three 2nds behind him he was a lot faster than me down the first two straights but i hit the rythm on the last two straights and nearly passed him so i was pleased.
Quarter final i got a 3rd
semi final i was in 3rd again and there was no way i was getting this wrong i just hung in there to make the main BRILLIANT
Final time i end up in gate 8 which is not the best and finish in 6 th so not too bad
Overall i finished 6th in points on Sat and 5th in points on Sun so pretty good against the older kids.
I think we have some spare time now for training on my clips for the worlds so ill keep you posted

Race Updates

We have had a few races in the UK the first was a SW regional at Burnham in preperation for the National my dad put me up in the 11s which was good as there were a lot of fast kids like my mates Aaron and Eddie i did really well my gates still suck but i won motos and had a 2nd during the day so i felt fast but the finals were running really late and we were 3 hrs from home and it was after 5pm and we were still waiting, so my dad said we will have to go we caint wait any longer so no final for me!!!but well done to Eddie for winning.
The National at Burnham wasnt too bad i won my motos easily and in my semi i hit the gate and was last to the first turn and by the 2nd turn i was in 2nd behind ethan so not too bad .
I was top of the rider list all day so i felt good ,come final time i got stuck ina crash on the first jump and finished 4th so i wasnt too happy nor was my dad!!!
I just hate racing in England .

1st and 2nd Round of European Champs at Zwolle 4/4/09
This weekend was the first round of the series i have never been able to race these yet as you have to be 9 years old to race in the 9/10 boys class .
I was a little bit nervous as i would be the youngest ,we set off on friday at 0500 and still managed to miss practise on friday night cause of those stupid traffic jams !!!
The track looked ok so i cant wait to practise tomorow .
Sat Race day because there were loads of riders i only managed to get 2 laps practise but i felt good.
At the moment i am testing a new Haro with the chance to ride for Haro in the UK (thanks Adam/Ryan/Lauren)i really like the frame it feels good to jump and manual which im learning to do .
There was about 6o riders in my group so it was going to be tough because i was having to race an age up. In my motos i had my good friend Tino Popma on his new gunslinger ride (it looks like my old bike so much i nearly got it out the pens to race lol).
My motos went well with 3-1-1 so i felt good next round was quarters no mistakes now ,i got a decent start but somebody fell on me and i was down in 7th at the first turn a hit the turbos and got back to 3rd .Semi time it was stacked again i got out ok and was 3rd till the last straight and bobbled and got 5th gutted .well done to Tino who made the main on sat but crashed on the first jump .(the youngest in the final )!!!
Sundays race Day
My dad hade made a few changes to my bike but you get no practise on sunday so here come the motos ,i couldnt believe it i had Tino again but i rode well and the bike felt faster today so i was up for it. My motos were good with a 1-1-8 (i went over the bars on the gate dont ask)
Quarters now this was stacked i had 4 riders from saturdays final my dad told me he couldnt watch !!! so he said just go and have a go and dont back off!!
I was flying and ended up 3rd so thru to semis again ,this was going to be mine i had missed it by one place yesterday i just went for it big time jumped the little doubles at the bottom of the hill and finished 3rd i was in the main!!!!bad news for Tino he was in my semi and got 5th or 6th not sure but he said he would be shouting for me in the main.
In the pens my dad just said go and have fun and dont come last as it will on the internet later and my mom would see it !!
Martijn Scherpen came over and gave me some top secret tips and just told me to pedal as fast as i could ,
Main time
I didnt get the perfect gate but i just span as fast as i could and got back to the front by the first turn i went high in the turn and dropped back in with so much speed i was in 3rd i just kept on the gas and got a solid 3rd at the line fantastic my dad was going mad and came running over to give me a hug i couldnt believe i just got 3rd against all the older boys.
I made my dad miss the ferry so i could stand on the podium lol
i will get my dad to post some pics asap .
But thanks to adam at Haro for my ride and Martijn for the secret tips and well done on winning the Elite main i was shouting for you .
I just hope i can keep my Haro for a bit longer as we are not planning on racing the Uk nationals this year due to me wanting to race over in Europe and the worlds in Australia i want a W plate back .

Still Quiet On The Race Front
I have only raced a couple of times since Belgium as the weather has been bad ,a north regional at coppull and a midlands regional at harworth which i won both .
I will put a few pics up as my mate Tylers dad was taking plenty of pics at harworth.
My dad is starting to step my training up for the euro rounds and hopefully Australia .
The first round is in Zwolle in a few weeks where i will get to see my friend Tino again he is riding a gunslinger now and really likes it.
I have have been testing a new Haro frame as i have been offered a place on a new Haro UK team .
I didnt really want to change from my gunslinger but my dad said i was getting a bit big for it ,
anyway after a few goes on it i really like it feels totally different from my gunslinger so i will get a few races on it to make sure im happy with it .
I will get some pics up asap and you can let me know what you think !!!!

At the end of Jan my dad took me back to Belgium to defend my title as i won both days last year.

This time loads of riders from the UK went with at least 8 from my own age group it felt like an english national .

The track was different a lot smaller and very very soft i travelled with my friends from my track Cam and Owen we had loads of fun on the ferry .

After a long day travelling we practised on friday night i felt ok but not very fast but my dad told me what and where to pedal and after an argument as i dont like like listening to my dad !!!! i tried again after i had my special power food (((chicken nugs from Maccy Ds )))) and felt a lot better and looked ok said my dad.

Saturday racing

The entry lists were posted and just under 5o boys in my age so a good turnout .

I won all my races upto the semis when i went into the first turn with my friend Tino and ended up on the floor so no final for me i was gutted .The races were running so late it was straight to bed my dad didnt even stay to watch the finals .

Sunday Racing
After a few changes to my bike by my dad (he said i would be faster today )i started my motos and won them by a good way i was flying today i felt like i could win, my first straight was topps !!! i just pedalled everything.

Quarters again i just nailed it and got a flying gate and won .

Semis i had drawn with Euan a fast UK rider who has been winning a lot in the UK ,so i was a bit nervous my dad just said there was nobody faster than me down the first straight so just do what ive been doing all day and ill be fine ,riders ready watch the !!!!i was out and gone i won it by the length of the last straight ,,,,this final was mine !!!

It was going to be between my friend Tino and me ((harry tinos dad said it would be a good race between us )).

Final Time

I had first pick Tino 2nd pick so i picked 8 which was on the inside and Tino in 7 so i knew i had to get out quick,so guess what happened next i got out the gate and came off both my pedals AAAARRRGGGHHH i couldnt believe it the just rode off and i just rolled round crying i knew my chance was gone all day i won everything and then in the final off both pedals like that UNBELIEVABLE at least my mate Tino took the victory and well done to my mate Dan from the UK who made his first European final and came 4th to boot well done Dan !!!!

A big thanks to Martijn Scherpen who came up and gave me a cuddle and said he felt sorry for me in the final as he said i had looked really fast every race and said i would win next time .

Good luck in America Martijn wish i was racing in America again (i will have to get Mom and Dad to take me again)

So thats it really no more races till April when i will be competing in the Euro Rounds that will be tough as i am the youngest age but im determined to make a semi this year which would be really good over there.

A few new sponsorships are dealing with my dad so im not sure what bike i will be riding so for now ill stay on my Gunslinger which is a top ride,

got some time off now for a couple of weeks cant even train that much as its snowing really bad in the UK .

Not much to report on really i have raced a few regionals up in Manchester and Coppull the past few months ,still been training but there are no decent races to do.
Except for last weekend my dad took me to a big Euro race in St Etienne France with over 2000 riders !!!!
We flew out with my friend Cameron and his dad Tony when we landed we drove to the hotel it wasnt too far from the airport but as we got closer the snow got deeper and deeper it was unbelievable .
On the Thursday i was off school bad my throat hurt and i had a really bad cough so my dad wouldnt let me play in the snow .
On the Sat was practise day i woke up and felt really ill my voice was going (which my dad was pleased )
I did a few laps and liked the track and it wasnt too long which was good as i didnt feel very good.
I had to race in the 9/10s class there was 90 riders and some were huge (im only 8 not 9 till middle next year)my dad never told me i had to race the older age.
Any way my motos went well i won every one my dad was really pleased as i was so ill ,he even got me a new hat.
Sunday was the start of the qualifiers as expected i woke up even worse than Saturday so my dad said dont worry just go and have fun and dont worry.
In the pens my riders were huge i wish i was in a different race any way my dad said just because they are big doesnt make them fast ,i got on the gate and had first pick due to my wins on sat and picked gate 4 ,i got a mint gate and couldnt believe it got into the first turn in 2nd 3rd and was flying but for some reason got the turn totally wrong and came out 7th i got back to 5th but the 4 in front were the 4 biggest riders and one even went on to win the main so i was quite happy.
At least im not scared to race the older boys and when im fit and done some more training i think i will give them a good race .
I will get some pics up asap.

Redline Round In Assen Holland

What a weekend it was great my dad took me to stay at my friends house Tino Popma .
We got there at about 9pm on friday so we didnt have much time to play before bed .(16 hours travelling my dad was moaning )
Saturday we went to Tinos locall track that his dad built it was really smooth and tight with lots of little jumps(i can see why tino is so good at jumping now ).
The afternoon was practise at the track in assen i felt good and my gates are so much better than the last few races so alls good .
Its good how they run practise cause you can get some laps in the afternoon and then they have more on the evening about 630 .
After the evening practise we went back to Tinos for tea and to play .
Sunday is race day and me and Tino were in the same races so i new it would be tough from the start ,anyway we had some good races with me winning all the races so i was well pleased i really think i can win the final.
I had first pick and Tino 4th i was going to pick gate 1 my dad told me to pick gate 8 and get the gate and shut them down but i picked gate 2 .
The holeshot was mine and i got a troy lee voucher so i thought yes a new helmet LOL.
I somehow got the jump wrong into the first turn and nearly fell off but managed to keep in front of everyone but i had killed all my speed down the second straight and tino had managed to keep out the way of me making the riders bunch up and railled the top of the berm and got good speed out of it and caught me going into the second berm and got thru on the inside ,i was gutted my dad was upset .
After the race when we put the bike in the car the front tyre had gone down and i had lost 3 bolts off my chain ring (i thought it felt strange ).
But to be fair to Tino he rode a great lap to take the win so well done Tino .

Race Update

We went up to the new track in Manchester on the weekend for a North Regional race
the track is really good nothing too big and quite smooth.
The weather was ok but it poured down with rain just as we were in the pens for the finals .
When the moto sheets were posted i couldnt see my name in the 8 to 9 boys it was a full gate and i
began to panic looking for my dad ,i found him and he said( sorry lew i forgot to tell you i had entered you in the 10 boys )WHATTTT i shouted the 10 boys anyway i calmed down and went up for my first moto they were massive .
I have been practising my gates a lot lateley i have had to learn to watch the lights .
First moto and i got a good gate and didnt back off as they surrounded me and got the lead and won by quite a long way i was well pleased!!!!!!!
After that i was up for it as i knew i could beat them and won every race even the final in the pouring rain and to top it off i even won a trophy so not a bad day ,its a start as i have lost all my confidence this year and have not been trying my best at the races.
I am learning to manual and jump now so i enjoy my training again .

Sorry for no updates

We havnt done much the past few months with me going into hospital in March to have an operation ,i have had to have two months off my bike i missed going to China for the worlds
My dad didnt want to waste his money just in case i wasnt fast enough, as it happens im gutted cause even thou i wasnt fit if i just turned up to race i would of got a W plate there were only about 8 riders in my class .

A big well done thou to my friends Broc and Ezra from Zimbabwe who came W2 and W3 .

In the UK my friend Aaron is doing really well in the 9 boys class way to go Aaron.
My first race back was the mansfield national but i didnt do that well on the saturday my dad didnt even let me race the final as i was that bad.
On Sunday i did a bit better and i actually got the holeshot in the main but went super high on the first berm and every man and his dog came underneath me lol ended up 4th
Two weeks later it was chesterfield national i love this track as its so fast down the first straight ,
i won some motos and got a mint gate in the final crossed my lane and hit ethan (sorry)
my dad and tony did tell me to get over .

Then Jamie fell on me after we tangled on the 2nd berm so i ended up 3rd

My local track derby has also been closed for 2 months so it was hard to get up a track and practise in the week after school.

My dad has been training me hard and i also do football at school now so that keeps me fit

UEC RACES IN HOLLAND

My dad surprised me and said we were off to race in holland (i love racing away its great)

i went with my friend Dan Blanche who is in my age group and also rides one of the new gunslinger frames ,Dan rode well both days on sat he just missed the cut for the semi and on sunday he was in 4th to the 2nd berm and ended up 5th in his semi so it was close.

I won all my motos on sat and hit the gate in my semi last to the first berm i got back to 3rd so alls good PHEW final time again my gates suck for some reason im getting too nervous and getting them all wrong i ended up 7th TERRIBLE .

Sundays race again i won all my motos and won my semi but come final time i had first pick and i picked gate 7 so i would get blocked in got a decent gate but just couldnt get over and got a 4th

well done to my friend Tino who won on sunday.

2nd UEC AT Harksbergen

What a track it was great me and my dad went to this one on our own we set off at 4 am on friday to get the ferry it was a long way we didnt make it on time to get any practise on the friday night so i had to wait for saturday to do a few laps and straight into racing.

Saturdays race i won all my motos again and felt good i picked gate 2 next to my friend Tino Popma but again my nervs got me again and my gate sucked but i still finished 2nd so not too bad .

On saturday night me and my dad went to the dirt jumps with Tino and his dad Harry ,i couldnt do any jumps but Tino was brilliant he was jumping everything .

I played with Tino and his friends all night while my dad and Tinos dad watched the elite men i had so much fun.

Sundays race again i won all my motos and was feeling good but again in the final picks gate 2 and blimey what a gate i was 7th to the first jump i just dont know what happens in my finals .

Martin Verhooven got the holeshot and i raced him in all my my motos so i knew i could do it my dad was going mad i could hear him shouting at me coming out the first berm .

I hit the turbos and got mad with myself and got up to 4th by the 3rd berm but a long way off 2nd so i just pumped and peddaled the whole of the last berm and flew down the last straight of rythyms and got 3rd very nearly 2nd so my dad was a bit happier .Well done to Tino who won both days (next time ill have a win once i can get my gate right lol)

Belgium Open Champs

I went to Belgium on the weekend to race the indoor champs ,i went with my friend Aaron and his dad.

We went on Friday (great a day off school for me !!!) i had to get up at 0500 so we could catch the train .

The race was in a massive hall next to a big bike show ,there were people jumping on to rocks and cars in another hall it was great.

The track was horrible it was really soft and slippy and the jumps were huge.

Saturdays race i won all my motos and the final so i was well happy i even got to go on a big stage to get my trophy .

After racing we went back to the hotel and had my favourite dinner spag bog (race fuel)

it was late when we got back i didnt even get chance to watch spongebob on the tv in the room (nasty dad )

Sundays race i was a little tired but still won all my motos and the semi ,my dad told me i had to try even harder as i slowed a little down the 3rd straight and the other rider might catch me ,

his name was mitchell we tried to be friends but he couldnt speak English .

In the final i holeshotted and never looked back i did what my dad told me (for once )and won .

I had raced 9 times and won every time so i felt really good .

My dad was panicking as my mom is having my baby brother any day now and she called to say she was going into hospital ,this was sunday morning and i was still racing luckily for my dad my mom was ok and my brother is due to come out in a few days .

Sundays Racing

It went a lot better i won motos again and even made both my mains in 7x and the main in 7/8 expert open so i was well happy i came away with two big trophys .

That was it for the ABA Disney race i came away with 3 big trophys so it went great.

The next few days we went round some of the disney parks the rides were really fast my dad wouldnt come on them with us .

Tony and my dad took us to a night race on sat night at orlando one of the longest tracks in America (my mom went shopping ).

Any way it was great i beat some really fast riders there and won the main and another big trophy .

Saturdays racing at disney

It went really bad on sat it rained and im not sure if it was me or my dad changing the set up on my bike but i finished last in every race .

I was back in the villa for dinner time and i spent the afternoon in the pool.

My friend Oliva made her finals every day and came home with the trophys .

I was a bit upsett ,my dad changed the bike back to how it was and i said i will win some trophys tomorow .

Im Back!!!!

Sorry for the delay in my report of USA and the DisneyABA national race my dads been busy at work trying to make some more money for me to race in China (i hope).

Well where do i start we only just made it to the airport on time and my mom and dad had to speak nice to the lady to let us on the plane .(i didnt think i was going )

As soon as we got to the house we were staying at, my friends Cameron and Oliva were in the pool so me and my sister jumped in it was great.

The weather was really hot but it still rained a few times in the days .

The race weekend

Practise was on thursday the track was really good i just couldnt get used to the gate it was really fast .

There was loads of riders there you only get 30 mins to practise so i had to learn the track and the gate really quick.

The track was ok the start hill wasnt that big and it didnt have any white lines i felt ok in practise my dad just said to me i have to pedal everywhere cause all the other kids just dont stop pedalling.

After practise we went back to the villa and went in the pool.

Fridays race

My dad had entered me in the 7 expert class and the 7to8 experts open (which i didnt want to race as the kids were massive ).

My first race was in open and i came last my dad was shocked !!!

My first race in 7x wasnt too bad i came 3rd .

In my second motos in open i got a 3rd which i thought was good but i didnt have enough points to get out the motos.

In my second 7x moto i won so i was thru to the main .

Final time and i got a great gate and finished 4th !!!!

Bad news i crossed the line and my dad said they wanted to re run the race aaarrrgh i was mad .

Anyway we re run the main after the pros and i had a bad start was in 6th till the last straight and i think my chain came off and a rider crashes in to me and we all fall off i get straight back up i could hear my dad shouting at me to push my bike to the line i ended up 7th .

Still got a big trophy so i was pleased .

A surprise race in Holland

My dad and Tony Howard are taking me and Cameron to Holland to race i cant wait they tell me i will be going on a train under the sea .
Our journey starts on Saturday morning at 4am yes thats what i said 4am we have to go to Tonys house and then go down to the train.
We finally get to the track on saturday afternoon it looks ace bouncy castles everywhere loads of people the track looked well good.
Practise started at 630 in the evening which is weird as England you practise in the day .
I loved the track it was really fast we practised for about an hour then i was too tired i had to go to bed .
Sunday race day it was so cold in the morning my hands were frozen i had to keep them in my dads coat.
My first lap in practise i was flying out in front when i went over the big doubles in the first berm and went flying over my bars.(my dad told me to take it steady as id only just woke up)
the ambulance people we speaking a strange language i couldnt understand them i was asking for my dad .
I was checked out in the medic centre i really cut my side bad and couldnt do my race pants up.
I didnt want to do anymore so i went back to the van,after my breakfast and the sun came out and i warmed up i said to my dad i still want to race .
He changed my race pants and top so it wasnt rubbing my bad side and i went out for my first moto.
Its always strange when i race in different countries as i dont know any of the riders.
I won all my motos and the final it felt really good my starts were really good for a change and i just felt so fast.
The lad who finished 2nd to me was the National Champ and a top International rider so i was well pleased .

Total rest for me !!!!!

My dad has said no more training till next year now so i can rest he thinks hes pushed me too hard great news!!that means i can just sit and watch spongebob on tv.

Harworth regional was great fun i went in to the first berm 4th and swooped 2 riders and came out 2nd that felt ace .
I had been watching the speedway on tv the night before so i just copied them lol.
Now the series has finished there are not many races on ,my friends Aaron and Ted Dalleywater have said i can stay at there house for the East Anglia Champs great cant wait.

East Anglia Champs my dad dropped me off on friday night and left me at Aarons and Teds we practised on saturday and had fun.
Race day my dad turned up just before the first moto so that was good i was racing in my own age against one of my main rivals Ethan Vernon the first moto i holeshotted to the first berm and Ethan took me on the inside so i was gutted (it is his home track so i should of expected that).
I wanted to go home as im not enjoying my racing at the moment ,my dad talked to me and told me i could win and to just enjoy myself .
2nd moto i powered out the gate and won ,3rd moto the same and the final again i won so my dad was right i could do it .
He later told me he had put a hard gear on my bike as i hadnt trained for weeks to try and get my legs strong again ,,DAD thanks for that .
I won a trophy and £10 for holeshotting the final woww!!!! new toy for me .
After the race we all went down the pub for something to eat to celebrate .

Dont want to talk about this race as i nearly quit bmx this weekend it was a disaster i wanted to race up an age in the 8s but my dad kept me in my own age group, i just didnt want to race cut a long story short i did pants rode awful fell off twice and fell in the final .My dad said that was the worst race he had ever seen me do even worse than Canada and that was bad .lol

30th July 2007

Canada World Champs:
Bit of a let down i felt pretty quick the days before the race my mom and dad took me training on a track next to the worlds track.
I practised with 2 lads from Zimbabwe ,,Brock and Ezra they had raced the pre worlds the week before ,Brock won and Ezra came 3rd so i kept going round with them and secretly i thought yeh i could beat them .
Come race day i woke up and felt a bit sick ,it could of been nerves i dont know but as the day went on i felt worse so not a good start to my biggest race of the year.

In my motos i had a tough one with a top American rider Colby Bowman who my dad told me hadnt lost a race all year ,also the old W3 from Argentina and W6 another fast American Deshaun Harvey and my mate Ezra .

I felt bad and told my dad i didnt want to race i was crying with a bad belly.

I managed to get out of my motos and make the semi ,the way the system runs meant i had 3 riders from my motos and some other fast riders from the other it was well stacked .

I ended up 6th i rode one of the worst races i have ever had ,the 3 riders in my moto and semi ended up W1 W2 and W5 so you can see it was tough .
Well done to Brock who rode ace and ended upW4 .
My mate T Rex won the 8 boys thats the 3rd W1 for him hes sooo fast.
After the race Ezras dad found me in the crowd and gave me Ezras Zimbabwe race top so that was cool .
One of the nights we went out with T Rex and his family for something to eat and trashed the place (sorry).

T Rexs dad gave me one of Tylers USA race shirts after tea . How cool is that !!!!!

He might come over to England next year and stop at my house to race some of our Nationals .

After Racing my mom took me to a water park to cheer me we went twice, it was ace i went down all the slides and it cooled me down but OMG it took forever to get to the top i lost count how many times i did it but my feet hurt, Just across the carpark from the waterpark there was a karting track which my dad took me on, it had 2 seats wow and i steered and we overtook someone it was really fast( oh and Dad my steering wheel never worked it was fake).

Overall Canada was good but I just wish I could change the outcome but hey I learn by my mistakes and come back better and strong. Sorry Kelv I knew it hurt you to watch me with all the hard work you did with me, and Dad I am and I will get better just leave me too it, I will discover my own path but your my Number one fan,sponser and trainer and the best Dad ever

Where shall i start the English National Series are over i ended up 6th so not too bad really being as i raced up an age in the 8s

JULY:

Peterbro National was the first race on my new supercross bike and it felt good i won some motos and the semi so i felt good for the final but going down the first straight i fell off with Ben Turner (the new no 1 well done Ben ).

Peterbro was a double header so at least i had another go again i won some motos and 2nd in semi but as usual my gate sucked and i came 5th.

JULY:

Coppull National again i won some motos and felt fast no semi this time i made the cut for the A final and came another close 5th.

AUGUST:
Wales was double points so i had to make the final to secure my ranking again i felt good winning motos and nearly winning my semi but my famous bad gate let me down and i nearly fell in the first berm and ended up 7th not very good but i kept in 6th place for the rankings so alls good.

Not too much to report
Lots of training on my bike ,i raced peterbro regional last weekend that was good fun as i was off school for the week ,my mate Aaron stayed with us for a few days which was great my dad took us training on sat morning up mansfield then in the afternoon he took us up this big park near our house and we jumped in the pool fully clothed it was ace.
At the race there were 16 riders in the 7s and 8s i had a 3rd 2nd and 1st in the motos and a close 3rd in the main so that was good and my dad bet me a fiver if i finished top 3 so i finished a close 3rd and the fiver was mine (loads of sweets for me )

My moms just booked up a villa near disney for october so i can race the ABA National Disney Cup its great i can race then go to Disney.

Regional Race At Sheffield

Just a quick report on the regional at sheffield last weekend it was pouring with rain all day but i had to race to qualify for our British Championships later in the year.
My dad was doing call up on the gate he got soaked but i was alright as i stopped in my friend chandlers van to keep dry.
We always race up age groups i had 4 3rds so it wasnt too bad i had some good battles with Louis Gray Blest .
Im not that keen on the track as its all big jumps and no pedaling .
When we got back home my dad said my brake was stuck on and my back wheel didnt spin (i thought it was hard to pedal).
Any way my dad changed the cable and cleaned my bike with Fenwicks bike cleaner and its gleaming again (you wanna get some of that all you do is spray it on leave it for a few mins and hose it off my dad says its great )

CHEDDAR NATIONAL
Back at Cheddar for the 1st national of the year, loads of new riders at this one im racing up an age this year in the8s 23 riders are registered for this one .
Sunday Race
In my motos i felt ok i had all 3 rds but in the semi i had a bad gate and finished 5th so just missed out on the A final .
In my B final i had harley who had a bad day falling in nearly all of his races anyway the race was between me and harley with harley just beating me .
Mondays Race
I woke up and it was pouring down with rain at least i could keep dry in the team tent (thanks Alan and Mike )my motos were a mixed bag really with me getting 5th 2nd and 4th so not too good really.
Semi time i picked gate 7 and had a great gate and finished 3rd nearly 2nd but louis grey blest just beat me .
My best mate Aaron also made the A final so that was excellent i would be racing him in the main.
Main time i picked gate 7 again and Aaron picked gate 8 i got a good start but nearly fell over that stupid first roller i ended up 6th i think but they marked me as 7th so wasnt happy Aaron finished 4th so a good result for him .
We won vouchers for the final which is great cause my dad said he would double what i won and give me cash so i can pick some new toys .

We went down to cheddar for a race the week before the national so i could ride the track it felt ok i raced in the 8s and won every race so that was good .

Im really struggling with my gates at the moment so my dad has arranged some lessons off our No1 Elite Pro Kelvin Batey at mansfield track i feel im getting faster kelvin is teaching me how to push out the gate instead of what i normally do and wait for the gate to drop .

Race Update Milton Keynes Inter Regional .

Oh well back racing in the UK loads to tell you ,
my first race back was the milton keynes inter regional it was the biggest regional in the uk for years .
I raced up in the 8s there was about 25 riders my main rival from last year was there Gideon who is real fast i only beat him once last year.
This race was like a national with all last years top riders in the age above so this was gonna be tough.
In my motos i got all seconds i couldnt believe it i raced gideon 3 times and and beat him everytime.
My gates were terrible everytime i was going in to the first berm last but i just powered the first berm down the long second straight and passed everybody .
Semi time it was stacked my best mate Aaron Dalleywater won it i was in a safe 3rd but went to pass Harley for 2nd round the top of the berm and he put me over the top so crashed and didnt make the A final .
I didnt bother racing the Bfinal as it was late so we went home and had a mc donalds on the way home .

Race Weekend

Saturday was National One

There wasnt any body born in the same year as me they were all born in mid 1999 which in the worlds and any other race they would be in the 8s it didnt help as i had my 7th birthday a few days ago .

As we were staying with Harrison Britt i stopped in the Profile Team Awning it was great as my best mate A trains brother will is also on profile so i was playing in between motos.

Anyway i had a 1st 1st and 2nd in the final i had a bad start and went down to about 4th to the first berm came out the berm in 3rd and stayed there till the last but one straight which was a whole rythm section and just pumped past into 2nd and powered out the last berm to draw with 1st over the line.

My dad had to pay 5 dollars to view the video replay as it was that close i thought i had won ,my dad said i lost by the width of my tyre.

I was still happy as i won a massive trophy!!!!!!!!

It was a late night by the time we got home and had tea i was sooo tired .

Sunday was National Two

I had to get up really early about 0630 i didnt feel like racing today so my dad put me in the shower then i woke up.

Today was a 2 moto transfer so my dad said i needed to win to make sure i qualified for the main there were a few more kids in my class today so i was a bit nervous.

I got a great gate and won my first moto so my dad was happy he said i could take it steady in my second race but i didnt listen and i won that one aswell.

For the main a had gate 5 so my dad said i needed a good start i got out the gate 1st but unclipped going over the first roller luckily i clipped straight back in but it put me in about 5th or 6th in the first berm .

I moved up to fourth out the berm and 2nd to the rythm section near the end i flew down the rythm as i knew i could catch the 1st place rider i just caught him on the last berm and went high and came out low and beat him to the line for the win.!!!!!!(thanks Kelvin Batey for those berm tactics ).

It was great as my dad promised he would get me a psp if i won (now pay up dad )

The Week Before The race

I arrived on wed 21st and went to the track to have a look it looked a different colour to the ones in england ,but it looked well fast.

We were staying at Darren Britts house his son Harrison races for Profile Racing .

Thursday i got to practise on the track it felt great.

Friday was the big day it was my 7th birthday so i sent my dad down the shops to get me some presents,on the evening it was race night on the national track in Sarrasota there was loads of riders there in my motos i had 2nd 2nd 3rd and in the final i got the holeshott but in the end i finished 2nd so it was a good birthday.

When we got back home Liam Phillips from England had arrived he was also staying to race the nationals.

Saturday we stopped in and i met Percy Owens who is a top American Pro ,i made friends with Seth who lives in the same street where i was staying we did loads of skateboarding in the street and played at his house .

Sunday was race day at another track it was soooo hot ,i had my first go round and was flying round the first berm and went over the pro section by mistake and went flying over the handlebars ouch .

I didnt practise much as it was so hot in the motos i had a 3rd 3rd 3rd i was too hot in my race gear,my dad told me i could race in my jeans and a vented top for the final .

I felt a lot better and won the final by about 10 bikes .

When we was at the track a couple of Harrisons mates Cory and Josh came home with us to stop at his house.

Monday was aplay day with Seth again.

Tuesday i went shopping with Dad

Wednesday i went to the beach it was ace the sand was like walking on flour and i went in the sea and tried skinboarding.

On the night i did some training with Percy Owens a few long sprints and excersises in the local park.

Thursday i stayed in and did some gate practise on Harrisons gate and Liam taught me how to gate properly.

Friday we went up to the track to see what was happening and to register me for the racing.

It was starting to fill up it was well busy.

Well Im Back!!!!!!!

Sorry for no updates ive been busy racing in America me and my dad went and raced an NBL National in Florida .
I had an ace time and made loads of friends ,the tracks were really fast and much smoother than in England.

Im off to America.
My mom has booked the flights yesterday for me and my dad to go racing in America ,we fly out on wed 21st march till the 2nd april ,its going to be ace as i will have my birthday out there and my mom and dad said i can have some presents when we come back and also choose some toys in america.
Im going to race the gator nationals in florida and will be staying with my dads friend Darren Britt and his son Harrison,my dad has told me i will also be trained by Percy Owens who is a famous pro in america so hopefully it should make me faster as all the kids in america are super fast.I will be hanging out in the team Profile camp over the weekend so i will get my dad to take plenty of pics .

Race report Hayes 11th march
Loads of people turned up at hayes all my mates were there even Ashby Gibson and Reece Brownson came down from my club Harworth .
I raced up an age in the 8s against Kye ,Luca,Harley,Eddie ,Lewy,Aurthur,Reece,Gideon and another 8 or so people i didnt know.
I had some good races i had two 3rds and a 5th (dont ask my dad has already told me off sorry dad)in the final i came 5th or 6th as it was close on the line so i was really pleased as it was like a national .

A few updates not much been happening since xmas my dad has given me some time off as i didnt really stop racing last year .He still gets me to do some training on my turbo trainer and doing some sprints though.
Its the last round of the indoor series soon and all my Alans Dxr team mates will be there i think we will all be getting our new race kit ,helmets ,vans trainers and loads more its like christmas again (thanks Alan and Mike).
Race updates :
My first race back after my accident was at royston it wasnt too bad i had a second in a moto and was racing up a couple of age groups i was in the b final which i won so not too bad everybody said i didnt look like the old Lewis whatever that meant .
After that it was back in my own region for a race at bullwell i felt ok and had some really close races with Aaron Dalleywater down the last straight .
Today was Rotherham regional i had a good day playing with my mate Tyler Day whos dad is bmxvids.com check it out for some good vids and pics oh and a good games section.
Racing was fine i won all day so im happy ,my friend Sam Taylor (or mad sam as my dad calls him )was racing in one of his first races outdoors he was getting mad cause he wasnt pedalling as good as normal in the motos but in the final he must of had some tips off his big sisters Chloe and Abbey cause he stormed to third in the final my dad says he could well win the national series in the 6unders this year.

I went on a 4 mile ride today with my dad in the nature reserve and round the lanes outside my house my arm felt a bit better today i even watched smackdown on tv and copied some of the undertakers moves on my sister it was going well until i made her cry and my mom sent me to my room.My dad took some pics il get him to put some on the blog.

My dad took my to the indoor today and managed to ride some laps i didnt go very fast as its a bit bumpy and it was still hurting me a bit but my dad says another week or so and it should be a lot better.

Broken collarbone!! 12-12-06

Went to the indoor today in preparation for my big trip to Barcalona on friday
had to wait ages to get in as me and my dad arrived too early, i had only done 2 laps when i fell, then off i went to hospital to comfirm the worse i have broken my collarbone, I'm gutted; not about Barcalona but i will only have one arm to open my christmas presents Santa will leave me,and i aint even finished writing my christmas cards for me mates at school, for me mates at BMX you will have to get your dad to comment on blogger or text me dad with your address cos you wont get one otherwise

A busy weekend !
Saturday was the first round of the indoor series there wasnt that many riders racing ,my dad said he thought it was going to be really busy.
I was racing in the 7-8s my starts werent that good as id been riding in clips for 2weeks to get me ready for Barcelona ,it always feels weird when my dad takes them off as i keep coming off my pedals.
Anyway i had a couple of 4ths and fell in the final on the first two doubles taking two riders down with me (sorry Jamie and louis)so it wasnt that good really.I still had fun playing with my mate Tyler and my ds.
Mike supercross was there taking photos of me Bradley Minns and Lewis Ferguson on the track to post on Alans racing blogspot check em out off my links .
Sunday my mom has started putting up the christmas tree and things ,im back up to the indoor today so my dad can go to a team meeting.When we got there all my new team mates were there some i knew and some i didnt while my dad did the boring stuff i was on the track practising.I was blasting down the first straight while my team mate Aaron was jumping the big dirt jumps in the middle and it was the first one to the berm won that was fun .
Then we all went and tried on all the new race gear that the team will use next season its dead smart (thanks Alan and Mike).
Abbey Taylor was also practising today and i was riding round with her and she said i could jump the step up into the second berm ,i didnt think i could do that as it looks massive and then my other team mate Brad said come on lewis have a go dont be chicken that got me mad so i pumped reall fast thru the big rythm before it and i had a go i didnt clear it but after that i just kept on doing it till i cleared it smooth so im really pleased (my dad said i did his head in all the way back talking about it )so thanks Abbey and Brad i cant wait till tuesday when i can go and do it again.(Oh and Bradley Minns my dad said you can come and wash his van after writing pimp my van all over the back doors ha ha )

26/11/06 Just got in from the indoor track had a good 4 hr session up there with my team mate Bradley Minns and Statts factory rider Reece Hoggatt they were teaching me berm moves.The track was different to last year the jumps are a lot bigger my dad says i will be training up there twice a week now to get me fast for my next big race in Barcelona on the 16/17th of December.
Good luck to one of my other team mates Aaron whos racing in the grands in America i wish i was there.
Ill get my mom to post some pics of me in the indoor with my mates when she can find the computer cable.

The racing at bulwell was good apart from it was wet, the track held up well thou, the gate had a full 8 riders and was slippy and i did manage to slip but pulled it through and came first in all my races , the mint picture is of me jumping the table top straight after the second berm ,
The other is my ex team mate Reece Brownson a good 2 years older and just gained himself a Crupi ride, well done buddy, Remember your mates when you hand out the stickers!!

Hi

This is me after my BMX world championship race in Brazil July 2006 i came 7th in 6 & unders giving me the title W7 to display on my BMX race bike. I have with me my shiny new trophy to add to my W8 ranking i won in Paris 2005, This is my fave one so far

I started racing bmx at 4 1/2 september 2004, just barely off my staberlisers, I love racing, I showed alot of potential, my first bike was a Gt micro from alansbmx, it was blue and felt strange, Then got my first sponsor soon after with maw/dingo racing,and i started racing in 2005 at a national level, my frame was a one piece and is the only one in the world, i was mainly at the back of the group to begin with ( being the youngest) then i started to work my way up i never won a national race in 2005 but i did make make all the mains, in the july my dad took me to paris (well my mom drove all the way as dad broke his arm trying to jump )the 2005 world championships was fantastic, my dad was told not to take me as i was just 5, but hey he never listened and took me anyway just for fun and experience, I never thought i would come away with a trophy and world ranking, after the racing me and my family went to disnayland, then it was back to the UK for more racing , I am never off the track its my choice my dad has to chase me to get my bike off me as i can get tired but i'm too fast for him, At school i get to take all my trophy's in and show them in assembly, Its great

Then in 2006 i was offered a sponsor from Team Intense/thesourcebmx, My frame was lite-weight and bigger, The british number one pro Kelvin Batey was on the team too (my Hero) , He worked really hard to set this up, not just for me but for others too and there was alot of us, I Spent alot of time with him listening to him and he helped me gain more confidence the more i listened and trained the more i won, Then in July my dad took me to Brazil for the 2006 UCI bmx world championships , I got to meet alot of pro riders and had my photo taken with them (see above),, It was hetic in brazil every one wizzing by me i got a little confused at times, When it came to racing i finished top 4 in my moto's, in the semi i was third, things were looking great, then came the the final i was nervous then the gate dropped and i just pedaled like crazy i got boxed in at the first turning and put my brake on that was a huge mistake as all the others just left, i had to play catch up i gained 1 place but i knew my dad is proud of me no matter what i did, just making the main is an acheivement.

Things could'nt be better "i thought". and now at the end of the 2006 summer i have just gained a new sponsorship deal from Alan Wood and his UK's number 1 team http://alansbmx.com , I am so lucky i will be in a team that prides itself on the riders and that of UK bmx racing , My frame will be the new supercross s7 and will be made for me i even get to pick my colour and i will be the first rider in the uk to have one, I will benifit from a team manager Mike Pardon that will help train me over the winter and set me goals to achieve before i set off to Canada in 2007. and when i win the national series

I became UK,s national number 2 .i could have won, Next year i will WIN but hey i'm only 6 and having 2 world rankings at my age is Awesome
